The Clariant project “Tox-Report” puts stock in DRS DIGITIZER

In only 5 months, 12,000 reports with 4 million pages of approx. 40,0000 microfiches were digitalised as part of the “Tox Report” project.

Clariant decided against using conventional manual microfiche scanners. The choice was made for the fully automatic DRS DIGITIZER.

The planned use of personnel and the scheduled time could thereby be considerably reduced for the entire project.

It was also possible to ensure the customer request for absolute confidentiality.

To achieve this goal, DRS DIGITIZER was used at Clariant in Sulzbach in secured rooms.

DRS met the deadline to supply DRS DIGITIZER in Sulzbach and installed the system in just a few hours.

Following a one-day training session, the Clariant employees in charge of the project were able to operate the DRS DIGITIZER and meet changing demands through different microfiche materials.

As a “stand alone” solution, the DRS DIGITIZER was directly connected with physical cabling to those workstation on which the end check of the digitalised documents was performed.

DRS DIGITIZER worked with great reliability in multi-shift operation without malfunctions so that the project could be carried out in time.
