CCD chip technology
The DRS DIGITIZER uses a high resolution CCD full frame chip camera. With this technology the DRS DIGITIZER can save the image information as a file. As soon as this occurs, the file can be edited with an image editing program or also archived immediately.
Creating the max
Unlike other conventional systems, every document can be recorded individually on a microfilm and optimally digitalized with the DRS DIGITIZER.
Even specification with high quality demands can be transferred to EDP with high quality. The DRS DIGITIZER always creates greyscale images (256 greyscale levels) of your microfilm documents.
This means that the customer and not the technology decides on the information content of his documents.
Runs like clockwork
The documents to be captured are optimally exposed through the use of wear-free exposure using a LED panel with chip-on-board technology.
The pneumatic feeder system can feed up to 200 microfiches, works extremely reliably and preserves the documents – also from microfiches and jackets with heavy signs of wear. The specially developed turning system arranges the digitalized fiche/jackets in the original order.
Tailored to your needs
The image detection and further processing software by DRS determines the exact position of each individual document on the microfiche. Then the program picks up the document individually, aligns it, cuts it and puts it back down in the desired file format. The optimum inter-relationship of these individual components makes it possible for the first time to digitalize large quantities of microfiches and jackets quickly and economically.
